The Beginner Package covers the private lesson, the full set of equipment and the lift pass you need during the lesson — everything from gear to getting on the hill is arranged for you, so a first day on snow can be an easier, more reassuring one. Taught in Cantonese, Mandarin or English.

What's Included
Full-day six-hour private lesson
Six hours in total, including an hour for a break and lunch, so five hours are spent on snow. Start time is flexible between 9:00 and 10:00.
Full equipment rental
Skis or snowboard, boots, poles, waterproof jacket and trousers, helmet, gloves and goggles. Snowboard lessons also include protective pads.
Lift pass for the lesson
The lift pass covering your lesson is included, so there is no need to work out which ticket a beginner should be buying.

Quick Questions
First time on snow — skis or snowboard?
If this is your first time on snow, we'd suggest starting on skis. On skis you face forward and move in a way that is closer to walking, so balance and speed control usually feel easier to adapt to the first time. That goes double if younger children or older family members are joining you — skis are the gentler way in.
That said, if snowboarding is what you really want to try, you are in good hands with an instructor.
How many days should a first-timer book?
One day is enough to try skiing; to learn the basics properly, we'd recommend two or three.
The first day usually starts with using the equipment and controlling your speed. Later days pick up where the last one left off — turning, riding the lift, and gradually building the confidence to ski on your own. That is why we offer two- and three-day packages: you keep your progress going, at a better rate per day.
When do we collect the equipment?
We open a group chat three days before the lesson with the collection details. For Hirafu lessons you can collect the afternoon before; for Annupuri, on the morning of the lesson. Rental shops are busy in winter, so allow at least an hour for fitting.
Should everyone in our group take the lesson together?
A private lesson is adapted to whoever is in it. Where levels or ages differ a lot, people can end up waiting for each other, so separate bookings often work better. If you would still rather stay together we are happy to arrange it — the instructor will prioritise the safety and progress of the least experienced skiers and any children.
Does the package include accommodation or transfers?
Transfers are not included. If you need one we are glad to arrange a transfer within the Niseko area (excluding the Niseko Village area) at JPY 5,000 return or JPY 3,000 one way.
Are any of your instructors from Hong Kong? Can lessons be in Cantonese?
Our instructors are from Hong Kong, Taiwan and China, and lessons can be taught in Mandarin, Cantonese or English at no extra charge. If you would like a Hong Kong instructor or a lesson in Cantonese, just let us know — it depends on their availability on the day, so please ask early in peak season. Requesting one specific instructor by name is a paid add-on at JPY 6,000.
